Robin Varljen has expert-level knowledge of environmental law and regulation, i.e., CERCLA, MTCA, RCRA. Her specialties include environmental compliance, inspections, and internal audits. She has served as an Environmental Specialist for the State of Washington Department of Ecology at the DOE Hanford Site and as a Senior Environmental Specialist for Washington River Protection Solutions at the DOE Hanford Site
Robin has a B.S. in Biological Science and Environmental Science, from Washington State University.
Sustainable Results
As a Senior Environmental Specialist for Washington River Protection Solutions, Robin provided technical support and regulatory oversight to the tank farm retrieval, remediation, and closure project. She developed Resource Conservation Recovery Act (RCRA) permit documents, white papers, and technical presentations/briefings to clearly detail environmental compliance issues, opportunities, options, advice, and specific recommendations.
As an Environmental Specialist for the State of Washington Department of Ecology, Robin led State, EPA and DOE team writing the D&H OU CERCLA Record of Decision through approval for stakeholder public involvement.
