Proven Experience

Bob BlythBob Blyth has over twenty-four years of experience providing nuclear quality assurance expertise to a variety of DOE organizations, assessing and improving quality assurance program implementation. In this capacity, he has assessed, analyzed, and reported on DOE contractor quality assurance programs to improve contractor performance and reduce the probability of mission damaging events. He was the lead auditor on twenty-one nuclear related Quality Assurance audits and participated as an auditor in twenty-seven more. He assessed activities included construction projects, Quality Assurance and requirements implementation, computer software requirements implementation, and Documented Safety Analysis reviews.

Mr. Blyth has an M.S.P.E. and a B.S.P.E. in Petroleum Engineering from Montana Tech and a B.S.C.E. in Civil Engineering from Montana State. He was inducted into these academic honoraries: Tau Beta Pi, Pi Epsilon Tau and Chi Epsilon.

Sustainable Results

Mr. Blyth has served as the DOE QA Program Manager for the Advanced Gas Reactor Fuel Development and Qualification Program and for the National Spent Nuclear Fuel Program.

He is a member of the ASME NQA main committee and has also served as Chairman of the ASME NQA Program Management Processes subcommittee and as Project Manager on numerous changes to ASME NQA-1. He was the Founding Vice Chair for the DOE Quality Council and the Founding Chair – EM/NE/SC Software Quality Assurance Support Group.
