Sustainable Results

During his tenure, Mr. Bracy successfully led and managed the implementation of the Design Basis Threat (DBT) for all Hanford assets and S&S operations, making Hanford the first major DOE Office of Environmental Management site to be fully DBT compliant in analysis and operations.

Mr. Bracy redesigned the Hanford S&S planning program, centered on the Site Security Plan, to be agile and functional. The program ensures Federal authorization for day-to-day security operations and acceptance of risk.

Mr. Bracy served as Safeguards & Security Hanford Patrol Supervisor responsible for 15-30 protective force officers during everyday duties and tactical operations. His time in the protective force operations provided unique perspective for the responsibility of directing program management and planning operations when analyzing the overall security risk for Hanford projects and national security assets.

As the Classified System Owner, Cost Account Manager, and Director of the primary users, Mr. Bracy was responsible for the procurement, development, integration, modification, operations, maintenance, and retirement of the Hanford Classified Cyber National Security System.

One of Mr. Bracy’s strengths has been coordinating directly with local and headquarters DOE personnel on various initiatives, including project management and policy development for all S&S topical areas. He served as subject matter expert in the areas of vulnerability analysis, performance testing, site security planning and assessments.

As a technical support service subject matter expert,, Mr. Bracy successfully leads the emergency management and continuity of operations programs as the primary program administrator. Those responsibilities include management, coordination and oversight of the Hanford Emergency Management Plan and subsequent procedures that are implemented by six different prime and sub-contractors across the 580 square mile Hanford site.
