As a Senior Project Controls Specialist for the Carlsbad Field Office (CBFO) DOE Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP), Sonya supported the contract transition plan and implementation of project integration and oversight tasks, including development of the WIPP Federal Life Cycle Baseline, M&O contract transition baseline schedule, and review of procedures in adherence with the Environmental Management Program Management (EMPM) Protocol.

She provided project controls support for the Washington River Protection Solutions (WRPS) Tank Farm Upgrades Project ($90M), on a $265M Semi-Conductor Fab in Boise, Idaho, and on the WRPS Single Shell Tank Retrieval and Closure projects.  This support included:  developing and maintaining design and fabrication schedules; performing critical path analysis and schedule recovery scenarios; performing Earned Value reporting and analysis; developing Work Breakdown Structures; and preparing of Baseline Change Requests.  It also included providing oversight for both the Client as well as the project team in all aspects regarding schedule, scope, and cost.
